Backstory

AILit framework is a joint initiative of the European Commission and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), developed with support from Code.org and leading global experts. The framework clarifies AI literacy outcomes for learners, empowering them for an age of AI.

A New Vision Needs a Bold Voice

AILit is driven by a bold and urgent vision: empowering educators to confidently teach with and about AI. This vision required clear, actionable values that can guide everything from the design of the publication to the distribution channels

A Color Palette Driven by Values

The AI Literacy Framework champions inclusive learning for people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds, ensuring everyone can participate in the future of work and benefit from AI. Blue, a color shared by all three partner organizations and a symbol of inclusivity, was chosen as the core brand color.

Visualizing a Future

How do we depict students engaging with AI when it's not yet common practice in schools? This question inspired a rich collection of visual imagery, blending real photos and illustrations, to help learning designers, educators, policymakers, and education leaders envision what an AI-literate world could look like. I led the art direction on the visuals.
